“I am impressed by the perfect functioning of the body.”

While in medical school at the University of Michigan, Nancy Han, MD found she thoroughly enjoyed anatomy. “Anatomy is what drove me to do a surgical residency at the University of Louisville,” said Dr. Han. “I find surgery very fulfilling because it can directly address and repair my patient’s problem.”

Dr. Han also shared that she spends a great deal of time talking with and getting to know her patients. She believes it is integral to helping to care for her patients. “It’s not hard to get to know people around here,” she said.
